Our Story
Weighted Wearables began as a home based business to provide the highest quality of weighted adaptive products. Bethany Metz, along with a school occupational therapist, set out to update the old vinyl weighted vests while she was working as an ESE Early Childhood Assistant. Bethany's experience and degrees in design and special education allowed her to create these products, thereby fulfilling the needs of individuals in the U.S. and overseas.
Bethany and her long term coworker, Carol Paur, continued to provide the highest quality of weighted adaptive products to individuals, schools, clinics and hospitals all over the world.
In June of 2007, Carol and Bryan Paur purchased Weighted Wearables from Bethany. They continue to deliver the same high quality products Weighted Wearables is known for.
